An Elementary School had reached out to us requesting to expand their existing mural, which we had revitalized the year before. They wanted to add several more children to the mural that encompassed their lunch room. The first step was to measure the existing art of the children and make sure to take reference photos for the style and color scheme
We were able to design the new children characters in Illustrator and then use the reference photos we had taken to place the new characters into the existing mural as overlays to assure correct placement and style matching. Once the design was done, painting of the new characters went smoothly. The new characters added more fun to the scene and made it more dynamic.
